Country detects first monkeypox case

(UPDATE) A 31-YEAR-OLD Filipino, who arrived on July 19, is the country's first case of the monkeypox virus.

Department of Health (DoH) deputy spokesman Beverly Lorraine Ho said on Friday the individual had traveled to countries that have monkeypox cases.
