Expert sees growth slowdown

RESUMING pre-pandemic economic growth will be difficult for the Philippines, and the new administration should address this challenge, a Nomura economist said.

At a forum organized by the University of the Philippines School of Economics Alumni Association, Euben Paracuelles, chief economist for Southeast Asia at Nomura, said the Philippines and Indonesia are the two Association of Southeast Asian Nations-5 economies about which he is more cautious when it comes to recovery.
