THE National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) will help repair historic sites and structures in Abra and other parts of the Ilocos Region that were damaged by the 7.0-magnitude earthquake.

Dr. Rene R. Escalante, NHCP chairman, said most of the structures are national historical landmarks and important cultural properties, which are protected by the Heritage Law.
