THE National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) expressed its commitment to help rehabilitate historic sites and structures in Abra and other parts of the Ilocos Region that were damaged during Wednesday's 7.0 magnitude earthquake.
Dr. Rene R. Escalante, NHCP chairman, said most of these structures have been declared National Historical Landmarks and Important Cultural Properties, which are protected by the Heritage Law.
