DSWD allots P1B in standby funds for supplies for quake victims

THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has allotted more than P1 billion in standby funds and stockpiles of family food packs and other food and non-food items for those displaced by the 7.0-magnitude earthquake that jolted the province of Abra.

In an advisory, the DSWD noted its National Resource and Logistics Management Bureau (NRLMB) is now downloading the funds to field offices in Northern Luzon and also facilitating logistical augmentation for the distribution of relief packs to affected locals.
