THE International Monetary Fund (IMF) believes Philippine gross domestic product (GDP) will expand within the government's objective this year before slowing down by 2023.

"Our GDP growth projection for 2022 currently stands at 6.7 percent, reflecting the strong recovery momentum in the first half of the year, with increased mobility as the impact of the Omicron wave proved to be less severe than anticipated," IMF's resident representative in the Philippines Ragnar Gudmundsson announced on Tuesday.
