THE national association of Catholic educational institutions in the Philippines vehemently condemned the shooting incident at the Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU) campus in Quezon City on Sunday that took the lives of three persons, including a former mayor of Lamitan City in Basilan.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) expressed shock over the act of violence that disrupted the ADMU School of Law graduation ceremony at Loyola Heights and turned the "supposedly joyful celebration filled with happiness and gratitude" into "terror, trauma, and death".
