Meralco core income up 15% to P13.1 billion

MANILA Electric Co. (Meralco) posted a core net income of P13.1 billion in the first six months of 2022, up by 15 percent from P11.4 billion posted in the same period a year ago.

In a media briefing on Monday, the country's largest power distributor attributed the increase in its bottom line on the back of strong energy sales and earnings from the power generation business.
