Army enlists 1st female Scout Ranger trainer

A FEMALE soldier of the Philippine Army will be immortalized in the nation's military history for becoming the first woman to qualify as a trainer in the elite Scout Rangers School in Bulacan.

The Scout Rangers, known officially as the First Scout Ranger Regiment, is a unit that specializes in anti-guerrilla jungle warfare, raids, ambushes, close quarters combat, urban warfare and sabotage.
