PARENTS of children whose deaths were linked to Dengvaxia vaccine on Thursday slammed former Health secretary and now Iloilo Rep. Janette Garin for defending the drug, saying it is now a banned substance and a case involving the lawmaker in its botched use was now in court.

"Where is your conscience Garin? You know the case is already in court where you were arraigned but now you are making noise to convince the administration of President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. to consider the use of Dengvaxia. What's your real motive — to make it appear that the vaccine is safe despite 166 children who died because of Dengvaxia?," said Sumachen Dominguez of the Samahan ng mga Magulang ang mga Anak ay Biktima ng Dengvaxia (SMABD) in a press conference held at the central office of the Public Attorney's Office (PAO) in Quezon City.
