THE Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) announced on July 13 the lifting of the moratorium on opening new BS Nursing programs to help augment the demand for nurses in the country.
CHEd Chairman J. Prospero De Vera 3rd said in a media briefing that 201,265 nurses nationwide are needed to achieve the sustainable development goal (SDG) requirement of 27.4 nurses per 10,000 population.
