Amended charter to strengthen PDIC

GOVERNMENT-OWNED Philippine Deposit Insurance Corp. (PDIC) said its amended charter further strengthened and expanded the financial safety net for depositors and creditors of local banks.

In a statement on Wednesday, PDIC said Republic Act 11840, which revised its charter, lapsed into law on June 17 this year. This was 30 days after Congress sent the bill to the Philippine President's Office.
