China's recovery raises growth expectations

BEIJING: A series of fresh economic figures again demonstrated the resilience of China's economy as it continues to recover amid tremendous challenges.

National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) data released last Friday showed that the East Asian country's gross domestic product expanded 2.5 percent in the first half of 2022 and 0.4 percent in the second quarter.
