Co-op sells P5.3M worth of peanuts to manufacturers

SANTIAGO CITY: A multipurpose cooperative here is gaining success in marketing its product after it sold 96,458 kilograms of peanuts worth more than P5.3 million to two institutional buyers based in Taguig City and Bulacan province.

Executive Director Narciso Edillo of the Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office 2 (DA-RFO2) said it is a win for the Buenavista Multi-Purpose Cooperative (BMPC) while helping boost the peanut industry in Region 2 (Cagayan Valley).
