THE PHILIPPINE Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) spotted on Monday a new low pressure area (LPA) off Eastern Samar.
The LPA was sighted 25 kilometers northeast of Borongan. However, the weather bureau said that the weather disturbance "is less likely to develop into a tropical depression in the next 48 hours."
