Surigao to defend PCL crown

THE Surigao Diamond Knights will try to defend its title as Season 4 of the Philippine Chess League (PCL) hosted by the Grandmaster of Masons and Deputy Speaker Mr. Johnny Pimentel opens on Sunday, July 17, via Tornelo online platform.

Surigao City, known as the bedrock of diehard woodpushers in the country, secured a special place in Philippine chess after the Surigao Diamond Knights ruled Season 3 of the PCL also known as the Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio Cup which was held virtually via Lichess platform.
