ABOITIZ Power Corp. (AboitizPower) is growing its renewable energy (RE) portfolio with plans to build a binary geothermal plant in Tiwi, Albay province, according to the company's corporate branding and communication (CBC) unit.
Janelle Jacinto, AboitizPower CBC chief, said the company's subsidiary, AP Renewables Inc. (APRI), is set to construct a binary geothermal power plant that will utilize excess heat from spent brine at the Tiwi geothermal facility, the country's first geothermal power plant.
