UnionBank unit secures digital bank authority

UNION Bank of the Philippines announced on Thursday that its subsidiary already secured the authority to operate as a digital bank.

'Please be informed that UnionDigital Bank Inc., UnionBank's wholly-owned subsidiary, received from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) its Certificate of Authority to Operate a Digital Bank dated July 12, 2022,' it said in a disclosure posted on the Philippine Stock Exchange website.
