Public Attorney's Office (PAO) chief Persida Rueda-Acosta challenged public lawyers to give their best and never shortchange their clients, who are mostly indigents since it is a mandate entrusted to them.

"Never ever entertain the thought of shortchanging our clients. We deliver the best to our clients and the public because we value them and the mandate that has been entrusted to us. This is also the best way of giving honor to our calling — calling from heaven — as public attorneys and public servants, and of recognizing our clients' rights, recognizing our collective efforts which have contributed greatly in making PAO as we know it today," she said after officiating the oath-taking of 223 public lawyers at the Bayview Hotel in Manila where three-day orientation seminar was also conducted.
