Meralco cuts July rates

(UPDATE) THE Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) will cut its rates in July by 70.67 centavos in compliance with the order of the Energy Regulatory Commission to refund P21.8 billion to its consumers.

The rate cut will lower by P141 the electric bills of households consuming 200 kilowatt-hours (kWh), Meralco spokesman Joe Zaldarriaga said.
