ON its debut a year ago, the Audi RS 3 immediately set a Nurburgring record for vehicles in the compact class. But it looks like there is more to expect from this so-called premium compact car.

A few months ago, ABT Sportsline released an 'optimized' 400hp (294kW) series engine to 460hp (338kW). But the world's largest automotive aftermarket and performance parts specialist for Audi and Volkswagen, once-again surprised everybody with an ABT RS3-R Sportback, strictly limited to 200 units, with its data sheet listing a full 500hp (368kW), among other features.
