THE Quezon City government has garnered five awards from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) at the 2021 Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMC) Summit, including the Most Competitive LGU (local government unit) in the highly-urbanized city (HUC) category.
The other awards are 2nd place in the Most Competitive in Economic Dynamism, Government Efficiency and Infrastructure and 3rd place in Resiliency, according to Mayor Maria Josefina "Joy" Belmonte, who personally accepted the awards from the DTI-Competitiveness Bureau Director Lilian Salonga in a conferment ceremony on Friday at the Quezon City Hall.
