Former Aboitiz scholars now engineers

TWO former Aboitiz scholars were hired by Aboitiz Power Corp. to join the ranks of company engineers after passing the mechanical engineering licensure examinations, the company said in a report.

Janelle Jacinto, Aboitiz Power AVP for Branding and Corporate Communications, said the two newly-hired engineers are Lucky Catalan and Dexter Balansag, who both graduated from St. Joseph Institute of Technology in Agusan del Norte after getting a full-ride scholarship from the Aboitiz Foundation.
