New LPA spotted off Davao City, monsoon rains to affect western PH--Pagasa

A new low pressure area (LPA) was spotted off Davao City but it is the southwest monsoon or 'habagat' that is affecting the western section of the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Friday.

The weather disturbance was last seen past 3 a.m. some 835 kilometers east of Davao City, Pagasa said in its 8 a.m. advisory.
