Eala, Ribera ousted in World Tennis Tour semis

FOURTH seeds Alex Eala of the Philippines and local player Marina Bassols Ribera lost their semifinal match in the women's doubles of the $25,000 International Tennis Federation (ITF) World Tennis Tour in Palma del Rio City, Spain.

Eala and Ribera absorbed a 2-6, 0-6 setback from the top seed pair Valeria Savinykh and Fanni Stollar of Hungary, who eventually clinched the title after beating Celia Cervino Ruiz of Spain and Justina Mikulskyte of Lithuania, 7-6 (3), 6-2, in the final last Sunday.
