EVEN if Occidental Mindoro's power supply has been restored after it was hit by a three-day blackout that started last June 25, Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian, chairman of the Senate Committee on Energy, is seeking a Senate investigation to address the problem of power interruptions plaguing the province for several years now.

(If there's no electricity, there is no business, and there is no income for the people. If this will continue in the coming months, it is possible that the studies of our learners will be affected. Are we going to allow this situation in Occidental Mindoro to continue?)," Gatchalian asked.
