THE national coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) positivity rate has increased to 6.8 percent from June 28 to July 3, with the National Capital Region (NCR) or Metro Manila and five others reporting upticks higher than five percent, according to the Department of Health (DoH).
The NCR had reported a 9.3 percent positivity rate, while the Cordillera, Central Luzon, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon), Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan) and Western Visayas reporting positivity rates above the five percent threshold set by the World Health Organization (WHO).
