Assange appeals to UK court against US extradition

LONDON: WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has appealed against the United Kingdom government's decision last month to order his extradition to the United States.

The appeal was filed on Friday at the UK's High Court, the latest twist in a decade-long legal saga sparked by his website's publication of classified US documents. No further details about the appeal were immediately available.
