Atty. Ma. Karina Perida-Trayvillla, director of the Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE)-Bureau of Workers with Special Concerns, calls for a more unified and harmonized action to end child labor in the country during the National Stakeholders Summit of Councils and Interagency Bodies addressing the Worst Forms of Child Labor, including Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children, at the Bay View Park Hotel in Manila, on June 15 to 16, 2022. Stakeholders from the government, nongovernment and private sectors nationwide participated in the event to create a convergence action plan to eliminate child labor in the Philippines. DoLE chairs the National Council against Child Labor, an interagency council tasked to amplify government efforts, strengthen institutional mechanisms, and establish measures to prevent, reduce, and eliminate any form of child labor.
