Magnitude 4.9 rocks Zamboanga del Sur

A magnitude 4.9 earthquake hit Zamboanga del Sur early Wednesday morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

Phivolcs said the tremor took place around 5:23 a.m. some 35 kilometers south-east of the town of Tabina, also in the province.
