SM Hotels and Conventions Corp. (SMHCC) continues to strengthen its brand presence across the Philippines with the official opening of SMX Convention Center Clark on May 24, 2022.

The ribbon cutting ceremony was led by SMHCC President Elizabeth Sy and Board Member-elect Win Garbo, representative of Mabalacat City Mayor Cris Garbo. With them were Shopping Center Management Corp. President Steven Tan, SMHCC Executive Vice President Peggy Angeles, SMHCC Senior Vice President for Operations Walid Wafik, Clark Development Corp. Chairman Edgardo Pamintuan, Bases Conversion and Development Authority head of Investment Promotions and Marketing Michelle de Vera, Department of Tourism Region 3 Division chief Ronsan Pelariza and SMX Convention Center Clark Senior Branch Manager Miguel Morato.
