PH experiences continued Covid case increase

The country continues to experience an increase in the number of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases over the past week but the Department of Health maintained that the number of severe and critical infections remained below 1,000.

According to Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire, the National Capital Region (NCR or Metro Manila) is experiencing a 'steep' increase in the number of new cases per day, which is now at an average of 350 per day.
