SOME New York banks in the United States had tried to corner Filipino dollar remittances on the "fake ground" that they can be a source of terrorist financing, Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. claimed.
He disclosed this on Tuesday during the International Day of Family Remittances which is a tribute to millions of hardworking and selfless migrant workers who have committed their lives to supporting loved ones back home.
