BAGAC, Bataan: The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) substation in Morong, Bataan on Sunday reported that four fisherfolk died, one missing, and 45 were rescued when the fishers' boat capsized due to strong waves while fishing along the vicinity waters here on Thursday, June 23. Edward John Lazaro, PCG Morong substation commander, identified the fatalities as Alexander Mesina, 52; Tirso de Guia, 45; Edgar Balboa, 50; and Gregorio Limboc, 43; all from Nasugbu, Batangas, and crew of fishing boat Twin Sister. Lazaro said that search was still going on for the recovery of missing crew Jemar Dacillo, 26; also from Nasugbu. Bidin Babah, also of the PCG Morong substation, said the fishing boat piloted by Gregorio Abong, 52, was some 18 nautical miles from Bagac, Bataan, when it met strong waves and overturned. Abong was among those rescued. Babah said that their team immediately launched search and rescue operations upon receiving reports on the capsized boat by the Nasugbu Coast Guard Station.
