THE Department of Agriculture in Region 12 (DA-12) has placed the province of South Cotabato under "red zone" for widespread African swine fever (ASF) infestation.
South Cotabato Gov. Reynaldo Tamayo Jr. said on Monday that the DA-12 and the Bureau of Quarantine have upgraded the province's zoning status to red following the emergence of confirmed ASF cases in the last three months from at least two municipalities.
