$1-B steel plant to rise in Zamboanga

DIPLAHAN, Zamboanga Sibugay: The Mount Zynai 0304 Mining Corp. (MZMC), a new player in the mining industry based in Davao City, is investing $1 billion to build an industrial park complex that will house the Philippines' first smelting and steel plant in this municipality.

MZMC and its partner, a Chinese company, Shenzhou Investor Corp. on Saturday, June 18, broke ground for the facility in a 15-hectare industrial complex in Barangay Sta. Cruz, Diplahan town in Zamboanga Sibugay.
