UN to launch online police course for freedom, safety of journalists

THE United Nations (UN) will soon launch a global Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) for police officials and members of other law enforcement agencies on freedom of expression and the safety of journalists.

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco) and the International Police Association (IPA) will jointly conduct the online course, said Unesco representative Samrita Menon in an email to The Manila Times on Monday.
