Obando dike repaired to stop flooding

SOME villages in Obando town in Bulacan and Valenzuela City were submerged from 1 foot to 4 feet of flood waters after the dikes that blocked water coming from the Manila Bay were recently damaged by the high tide.

Mayor-elect Leonardo Valeda of Obando on Friday has coordinated with Bulacan Gov. Daniel Fernando, Valenzuela City Mayor Rex Gatchalian and incoming mayor Wes Gatchalian, and the Second Bulacan District Engineers Office of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) for the immediate action regarding the flooding incident.
