Economic strength lies in biodiversity

A STUDY released this week by the Academy of Sciences Malaysia makes the case that environmental and biodiversity preservation, far from being a cost sink for Southeast Asian countries, is in reality a core part of the economy. These findings should give added urgency to the development of a robust environmental policy by the incoming Marcos administration.
