(UPDATE) FOLLOWING a review of Sen. Leila de Lima's drug cases, a panel of prosecutors of the Department of Justice (DoJ) is convinced that "there is good reason" to continue the prosecution of the outgoing lawmaker for alleged drug trading.
"The panel of prosecutors in the de Lima case has advised the justice secretary that after a thorough review of the evidence already presented as well as evidence still to be presented, there is good reason to continue the active prosecution of the senator," Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra said on Tuesday in a Viber message to reporters.
