Ateneo outplays UST, faces La Salle in second phase of stepladder semis

Defending champion Ateneo de Manila University outplayed University of Santo Tomas (UST), 25-23, 25-23, 25-20, in the first phase of the stepladder semifinals in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 84 women's volleyball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena on Tuesday.

With the victory, the Blue Eagles advanced to the second phase of the semis against rival De La Salle University Lady Spikers who are armed with a twice-to-beat advantage.
