Fight hunger, poverty – Go

SEN. Christopher Lawrence 'Bong' Go on Sunday appealed to Filipinos to remain united as the country's fight for freedom from diseases, hunger, poverty and other societal ills continues.

'I hope that we continue to instill in our minds the spirit of extending concern for our fellowmen as a way of recognizing the sacrifices of our heroes,' Go said in a statement in Filipino as the country marked its 124th Independence Day.
