OUTGOING Vice President Maria Leonor "Leni" Robredo showed her support for the 93 farmers and land reform activists arrested in Tinang, Concepcion, Tarlac.
Agrarian reform beneficiaries, activists, cultural workers and volunteer students were undertaking bungkalan, or cultivation activity on a portion of the disputed property. According to accounts and videos circulating on social media, police officers allegedly stopped the activity illegally and detained them without warrants or charges.
