UE wins, avoids winless season

UNIVERSITY of the East (UE) notched its first and only win in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 84 women's volleyball tournament after topping Far Eastern University (FEU), 25-22, 22-25, 25-21, 25-21, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on Thursday.

Janeca Lana and Dara Nieva produced 21 points each to lead the Lady Warriors, who ended their campaign with a 1-13 win-loss, tied with the Lady Tamaraws.
