Election officer shot dead in Zamboanga del Norte

AN election officer has been killed while her assistant was badly wounded by a motorcycle-riding assailant in Zamboanga del Norte, according to the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

Director James Jimenez of the Comelec Education and Information Department (EID) on Friday identified the fatality as Engineer Maricel Peralta, election officer of Mutia town.
