COTABATO CITY: To strengthen the halal (permissible) promotion compliance in the region, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform (Mafar) started the construction of a P1.99-million worth small-scale halal feed mill at Barangay Muti, Guindulungan in Maguindanao early this month.

Senior Agriculturist Saidona Lawan, focal person for Mafar Halal Development Program, said the project sought to provide halal feeds to promote halal-compliant poultry and fish production.
