Will our midterm elections in 2025 be based on 1) the Automated Elections System (AES) Law or RA 8436, as amended by RA 9369 (status quo); 2) possible amended AES Law; 3) Senate Bill 1950, or Hybrid Election System; 4) conventional manual system as practiced before the 2010 automated elections; or 5) total shift to federal election system?
Two thousand five hundred years ago, Heraclitus said, "There is nothing permanent except change." He meant that everything here on earth keeps changing. When we look ourselves in the mirror today, we could possibly look the same a month ago but quite different after a year or so. Even technologies today are far more advanced than a decade ago that practically changed our daily lives. We were witnesses also to how commerce, leaders, laws, business processes, computerized systems etc. changed through time — nothing lasts forever. "Change is the only constant" (Heraclitus).
