School apologizes to Sasot

(UPDATE) THE Southern Philippine Institute of Science and Technology (SPIST) has apologized to prominent transgender woman and LGBTQ activist Sass Rogando Sasot and the parents of the students for the 'inhumane stoppage' of the senior high school graduation rites last Friday by the Church of God (COG).

In a statement, SPIST President and CEO Dr. Erlinda Manzanero vowed to hold those responsible for the 'unwarranted action.'
