THE Department of Finance (DoF) revealed on Tuesday that the Fiscal Incentives Review Board (FIRB) Secretariat discovered that the government had lost billions of pesos in tax benefits for the defunct Hanjin shipyard at Subic freeport.
In a statement on Tuesday, the agency said the FIRB Secretariat reported that the now-defunct Hanjin Heavy Industries and Construction Philippines Inc. (HHIC-Phil) received tax incentives of P370 million in 2015.
