THE Philippine Stock Exchange index started the week in the red, going down by 24.52 points to 6,716.88 points, or by -0.36 percent.
According to Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. chief economist Michael Ricafort and Regina Capital Development Corp. Managing Director Luis Limlingan, investors continued to bet that the Federal Reserve will tighten monetary policy aggressively to combat surging inflation.
